Use your first year to understand subjects, speak with faculty and explore several career directions. Keep notes on tasks you enjoy and skills you want to strengthen.

Join relevant activities, complete small projects and build professional communication habits. A basic portfolio can document progress even before you have formal work experience.

Review your plan each semester. Career planning works best as an ongoing process informed by experience, not a single permanent choice.
